Training’s Back

Hi All,

UHS training will resume Monday 19th of January at Brens Oval at 6:15pm. Training will continue to beMonday and Wednesday for the next two weeks with the exception of Australia Day.
We’re also locked in with North Melbourne to use Arden Street Monday nights during February and possibly March. The same with Whitten Oval for Thursday nights.
This 8 week block of training will lead us up to the pre season training camp (which has been pushed back) and practice matches during March (dates for both to be confirmed). The intensity during training will increase again from the pre Christmas block.
During this period a leadership group and captain will be announced for the overage group. It’s a bit different announcing it early but we believe it will be important having the stability leading in to practice matches.
Nothing is decided with leadership yet so do everything you can to get to training and set an example.
Other than training during finals, this is the best time to get to training. The weather is warm, you’re not trudging through mud, the footy’s zip around and stick to your hands and it’s the best time to get the most reward for your effort.
Again, it’s an exciting time to be at the club, be involved in playing a big part in taking your club forward.
Please let coaches know if you can’t make a session by text. We will start using the whiteboard for each training session. If you don’t let anyone know before training starts your name won’t be on the board and you’ll have to make up for it next time you train.
Look forward to seeing everyone at training.
